Campaign Summary

The Non-Violent Antibodies Campaign was implemented in Damascus and Rural Damascus during the period from June to October 2025, targeting 25 beneficiaries from different age groups and social backgrounds. This came in response to the rise of certain forms of violence and hate speech, particularly among youth and students.

The campaign included a set of integrated activities aimed at promoting a culture of nonviolence and creating safe spaces for dialogue and expression. Listening and dialogue sessions were held at a university in Damascus, bringing together students from diverse backgrounds, following incidents of violence in some governorates and the accompanying spread of hate speech among students. These sessions focused on reducing tension, fostering mutual respect, and providing a safe space for expression and deconstructing stereotypes.

Additionally, a nonviolence education activity titled “Around Me and Around Me” was implemented in Rural Damascus – Douma. It targeted children who had lost their fathers (orphans) and children of detainees. Four interactive sessions were conducted, aiming to reduce violence-related behaviors, identify the children’s psychological and social needs, and empower them to express their emotions in nonviolent and constructive ways.

The campaign concluded with the production of a song carrying a nonviolent message, created through collaboration between the campaign team and several experts. The song was recorded to promote a culture of nonviolence through an impactful artistic approach that helps reach a wider segment of society, especially youth.
