Campaign Name: Nonviolence Antidotes Campaign

Date: 24–25 August

Number of Beneficiaries: 75 boys and girls, and 10 male and female teachers

Supervisor: Mona Freij

Location: Raqqa City

Summary:

These activities were implemented as part of the Nonviolence Antidotes Campaign with the aim of spreading a culture of peace and nonviolence in classroom environments and among teachers, based on the belief that peace begins with children and within schools. The campaign was carried out in partnership with Balloon Organization and the Syrian Nonviolence Group (SULLAM), and was implemented in two neighborhoods within Raqqa City through a distinctive interactive activity titled “Peace Puppets.”

This activity focuses on introducing the concepts of nonviolence to children in a simple way that is close to their world, where puppets become messengers of peace and a voice for safe childhood, promoting values of respect, dialogue, and rejection of violence. The campaign seeks to transform the educational environment into a safe and supportive space enriched with the values of positive coexistence, contributing to building a generation that believes in peace and spreads its values within their community from an early age.
