Campaign Summary:
The “Peace Begins Here” campaign aims to promote a culture of nonviolence within the local community by spreading the values of dialogue, tolerance, and understanding as alternatives to violence in dealing with conflicts and disputes.
The campaign focuses on empowering different segments of society, especially youth, to express their opinions and positions in peaceful and constructive ways, and to encourage them to adopt behaviors that support peace in their daily lives.
Campaign Activities:
Three community dialogue sessions:
10 young men and women and students from diverse backgrounds participated to discuss concepts of nonviolence, the challenges of applying it, and to exchange experiences about difficult situations that were handled in peaceful ways.
Training workshop:
Targeted 15 participants from youth and women, covering topics such as peaceful conflict resolution, communication skills, and developing the ability to create a positive impact within the community, while enhancing coordination and cooperation to expand the initiative.
Distribution of 100 awareness brochures:
Containing simplified information about the concepts of nonviolence and their impact on daily life, distributed in public places and educational and cultural institutions.
Production of a visual video:
Highlighting stories and situations that embody the concept of nonviolence and its impact on society, with the aim of motivating the audience to adopt this approach.
